Limiting data exposure

FileMagic works without user accounts. Local tools process content in the browser. For server-based tools, files are held in temporary working storage while the operation runs and the result is retrieved.

Server conversions use isolated processes with access restrictions and resource limits. Some operations, including certificate inspection, are handled directly by the application and do not have the same isolation.

Transmission and access

Public connections use HTTPS and pass through Cloudflare. This transport protection is not end-to-end encryption preventing Cloudflare and the application from processing received data. Anti-abuse checks and limits on size, request rates and capacity protect the service.

Result links are temporary. Do not share them: anyone with a still-valid link can access the corresponding result.

Cleanup and limitations

Working files are cleaned up automatically after result retrieval or expiry, depending on the operation. Copies saved on your device and technical logs follow separate rules described in the privacy policy.

No architecture guarantees the absence of vulnerabilities or incidents. Keep your originals, check results and do not use the service for files whose exposure could have serious consequences. FileMagic provides neither security certification nor a guarantee of complete metadata removal.

Reporting a problem

To report a vulnerability or incident, use the contact in the legal notice, without sending sensitive data in your first message. Incidents involving personal data are handled under applicable legal obligations, including notification to authorities and affected individuals.
